On behalf of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Oakland Bay Area Chapter, we are pleased to extend a request for you to be a part of our Annual Fundraiser, Madam C.J. Walker Business and Community Recognition Awards Luncheon. The Fundraiser will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel, in San Francisco, CA.
Our Mission: The Oakland-Bay Area Chapter (OBAC) is committed to providing programs that increase the participation of African-American women in economic, civic, entrepreneurial and human service areas of their respective communities through education, scholarship and collaboration.
NCBW, a non-profit organization, offers a variety of programs and services that enrich the lives of women, young girls and families. One of our signature programs is “Positive Steps”, a program developed to support and nurtures our future leaders, young girls, age 12 - 17. Our members are committed to investing in the education of our future leaders by providing programs, which serve to increase the participation of women and girls in the economic, civic, entrepreneurial and human service arenas.
Our attendance has grown to over 1300 guests from the corporate, civic, and private sectors. By sponsoring this event, the community will be made aware of your company’s commitment to building stronger and healthier communities. The support of organizations like yours has afforded us the opportunity to award over $250,000 in individual scholarships.
